It's about time for me to make a new cast page. If you're starting at the beginning, then read this page fist. That's the cast page that applied up until August, 2002. It's also the page where I list all my family and my friends that live in California. I think there's probably going to be two basic categories this time. Friends and Work.
Friends - Liz ~ She's probably one of my closest friends here. I work with her, used to be her boss, etc. For some reason, we've just gotten really close over the past few months. Yay us.
- James/Jay/JK/Jimmy/Max ~ okay, so you'll only ever see me refer to him as James 'cause that's how I met him and names seem to stick with me like that, but he (at some point) went by those other names too.
- Linda ~ The Sales Manager at my store, and one of the first people I "connected" with at the store. Mother of Daniel, Grandmother of Lilly, and she comes to hang out with us when we can all coordinate schedules (which gets to be extremely hard sometimes).
- Daniel ~ Linda's son. Him and I got really close fairly quickly. I think there are too many people named Daniel because now I have to have some way of differentiating this one from the one at the beginning of the diary. Well, I would if I ever talked about the other Daniel anymore.
- Jeff ~ I work with Jeff, but I consider him more of a friend than just someone I work with (hence the reason he's on this list rather than the other one). Jeff was probably the first guy I noticed after moving over here. He's just the right mixture of sweet, funny and odd with a little tiny naughty thrown in for good measure.
People I work with - My Department
- Dusty ~ My team leader. He's supposed to be my second in command, though I think that he's not too serious about it. He does do what I ask him to though.
- Steve ~ My newest associate and by far the hardest working. If and when I ever get to move up, he's the one that's going to take over as Department manager. He's probably one of my favorites to work with too.
- Ed a.k.a. Mr. Ed ~ His name tag says Mr. Ed, but I just can't call him that. I don't know why, other than the fact that it makes me want to sing "A horse is a horse, of course, of course...." And that's probably not good HR stuff there.
- Bill ~ Bill is an interesting character. Sometimes, well, most the time he just looks lost, even though he isn't some of the time.
- My old Department, Paint (which was originally "Snow White and the 7 Dwarves")
- Larry a.k.a. Bashful ~ was department manager before I got there, but he stepped down to be team leader. After I moved to Plumbing he moved back up to Department manager.
- Phil a.k.a. Grumpy ~ Phil is definitely a character. He reminds me of the Dwarves in LotR actually.
- Bruce a.k.a. Happy ~ I like Bruce. And not just because he brought us food from his garden and such as well as soups and other things he made, but because he was just nice. He's rarely in a bad mood, and he worked, he knew what he was doing and everything.
- Dave a.k.a. Doc ~ Linda calls him Sponge Dave. Dave's another one of those enjoyable fellows. And his daughters are the cutest things. His wife is really nice too.
- Jason a.k.a. Sneezy ~ Jason got his dwarvish name 'cause of his record with sick calls. Then of course, after I left the department, he somehow hurt himself and had to work the phones.
- Tom a.k.a. Sleepy ~ Tom quit, and doesn't work there anymore, but I couldn't very well leave two dwarfs out. Tom got his Dwarvish name because his availability was 12-close every day because he couldn't get up in the morning.
- Steve a.k.a. Dopey ~ He originally picked this name for himself, but honestly, we were going to give it to him anyway. Steve's also no longer working for the company, but that's alright.
- The other half of my old department, Home Decor
- Liz ~ See "friends" list
- Thelma ~ Claims to be semi-psychic. Don't know though. She's gone through a lot in the past few years. Some really terrible losses that I think would drive me more insane than I already am.
- Jutta ~ Surprising lady. Can be very opinionated sometimes, but that's a good thing . . . sometimes.
- Helen ~ Helen likes to talk, and I don't think she thinks about the things that she says before she says them sometimes.
- Diana ~ The specialist in Home Decor. She's a very feisty lady, but she has to be. She's quite short and tiny really, but she's got a fire to her. She was fun to work with.
- Everyone else
- Steve (Flooring) ~ Very nice guy. Former employee of Home Depot. He comes to me with questions from time to time still.
- Josh (Flooring) ~ Odd little guy. I'm not too sure what my real opinion is. I think he's a little cocky sometimes though.
- Conway (Appliances) ~ Conway's harmless. His sense of humor reminds me of my Dad's sometimes.
- Yvette (Store Manager) ~ I like Yvette. Even if she can sometimes be a little hard on everybody, and it took a while for me to be able to read her moods. She can be intimidating if you're not used to her.
- Sharon (Ops Mgr), Holli (Admin Mgr), Linda (Sales Mgr), Keith, Jerald, Debbie, Ryan, Ed (Zone Mgr) ~ All ASM's of the store (even if they're not called ASM's anymore)
- Don (Dept. Mgr. Lumber) ~ Another former employee of Home Depot. Very nice guy. Fun to just chat with and an excuse to come down and bother Jeff.
- Carlos (Dept. Mgr. Outside Garden) ~ Carlos pisses me off half the time and makes me happy the other half. He used to run plumbing until he got fed up and wanted to step down but couldn't, so they moved him and that's what got me to where I was.
That's it for now. If I missed anyone, feel free to ask me who they are.
