 Poetry
About four years ago, I got into a habit of writing poetry whenever I got the urge. Some people even think I'm fairly decent at it. On this page I'm going to be featuring select poems, possibly one or two a month, but we'll see how it goes. The Little Girl
Once,
In a land far, far away,
There lived a happy little girl.
A little girl who loved everything
(Yes, even her little brother
Despite how much he fussed
And cried and hurt her ears).
She loved the plants and animals.
Everything from the squirmy bugs,
To the bees, to her very own boysenberry tree.
Then one day,
When the sun was out to play
And the sky was the color of her eyes,
The little girl and her family
Went out to visit some friends.
She liked to visit people.
They were always so nice.
The little girl went outside
When her parents and their friends did
And she saw a bee.
She knew bees were her friends,
So she went to say hi,
But when she got close
The little bee grew
100 times.
The little bee grew
Dripping fangs and claws.
The little bee was not nice.
He chased the little girl,
Who was only trying to be a friend,
Around the yard,
And the small table
Where her parents sat,
Until he caught her,
And he bit her,
Hard.
She cried and cried.
She didnt understand.
He wasnt supposed to hurt her,
But he did,
And she was afraid,
And so she remained,
From that day
To this one.
