My demon's day breaks through the night's embrace
As madness takes me with the softest kiss.

My eyes go blurred, then black, then blurred again
And all I clearly see are swirling shades of a crimson wave.

Swirling up, it devours everything in sight
Flooding, conceiling, drowning.

Raising up, higher and higher, it swallows everyone
And everything I've ever held close to my heart

Sparing only me, and carrying forward,
Leaving me in the barren landscape left behind.
