I look up in the midday sky
The sun shines bright
And blue sky is all I see.
Not a single cloud in sight.
I look back down to the ground
Sitting in the shade of a tree
Wishing that the clouds would come in
Hoping that the sky could match my mood.
Grey and cloudy
Not knowing what to expect.
Perhaps rain
Perhaps the clouds just mask
The truth of how I feel.
I look up at the branches of the tree
Watching how the leaves move
Slightly in the breeze
Using that to transport
My thoughts from the place they dwell
They dwell on everything
And nothing as well.
If asked what I think about
I cannot describe it
For it truely is nothing
Yet my mind wanders father
Than I can ever hope to
In my life.
They wander from times past
To dreams of what may
Still come to be
Though all hope of things
In the present
Is lost.
