Silence seeps in once again,
Devouring all of me,
Leaving no part of me alone.
Not one inch untouched.

Sometimes it seems as if I don't speak,
No one hears me.
Today I haven't said a word,
But there's no one around to hear it anyway.

Silence.
It falls over me like a blanket of wet sand,
Heavy and suffocating,
Unforgiving.

Life drowns,
Crushed beneath the heavy wave,
And I cease to struggle against it.
Giving in, I sink into the dark.
