At first glance, one might mistake her for a child. She stands no more than 3'10", tall for one of her species. Her hair is the red-orange of the autumn leaves and her eyes are the deepest emerald green. In the right light, one can see that she is not human. Several layers beneath her skin, there's a green-ish tint, one of the defining characteristics of her species. She is a Dryad, and she lives in the forest near Exodus. Dryad's are an odd species. They are an all female species, and in order to keep their population, they capture (or in Xana's case attempt to capture) human males. Usually after the males are spent, the Dryads kill them. Dryads live as long as their tree does. Each Dryad is bound to her tree, and Xana is no exception. That is the reason she gets very unreasonable about both axes and fire. She is very protective about the forest in general, and she watches every foreign being who enters it. She, like all Dryads, has the ability to communicate with the trees as well. She can feel what they feel, should they choose to let her know. ![]()
Like most Dryads, Xana is an extremely skilled archer. She is rarely seen without her bow slung over her shoulder, though during mating season, she is usually seen with her bow drawn, the arrow pointing at some passing male. She usually wears a pale green tunic, belted at the waist, and she never wears shoes. She appears to be about 14 or so, but both she and her tree are 108 years old. Her hair is usually kept in ringlettes, and when she's nervous or unsure about something or has nothing better to do, she pulls one of the ringlettes into her mouth and chews on it. Others are always falling infront of her eyes, which only helps in frustrating her. |
